Dev Army Knife: Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

PDS Technology Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the Dev Army Knife iOS app (“Dev Army Knife”, “the app”) handles your information. In short: Dev Army Knife collects nothing. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no server operated by us, and its privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data. The app only ever connects to a host you have named, on an action you have taken. We are a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16504157), with our registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.

Information we collect

We collect no personal data through the app. Dev Army Knife has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no server operated by us. Whatever you paste, type, open or generate in a tool is processed on your device and stays there: in the tool, in the shared stash, in your recent files, or in a file you choose to save. None of it is sent to PDS Technology Ltd, and we have no access to any of it. The app’s privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data.

The app never fetches tools, reference sheets or anything else from a server of ours. Every tool and every reference sheet ships inside the app and works offline.

Network access, only when you ask

Most tools never touch the network at all. The ones that do, such as the API tester, the WebSocket and gRPC clients, SSH, SFTP, Transfers, the S3 bucket viewer, the Git client, the mock API server, the WordPress publisher, the Docker registry and container monitor, and the network diagnostics (DNS lookup, ping, traceroute, whois, the Bonjour browser and Wake on LAN), connect only to the host you have given them, only when you act, and say what they will do before they do it. Those connections go directly from your device to that host. Nothing passes through us, and nothing about them is recorded by us.

The mock API server, the Bonjour browser and Wake on LAN use the local network permission to serve on, browse or wake devices on your own network. Nothing about your network or the devices on it is sent anywhere.

Files, photos and the Share sheet

Files opened from Files, the Share sheet or the photo picker are read on the device by the tool you send them to. The app only sees the files and images you choose. It does not scan your photo library or your documents, and it has no access to anything you have not opened in it.

Apple Intelligence

Two tools, Apple Intelligence text and SEO suggestions, use Apple’s on-device model, and Explain can use it too on iOS 26 and later. They run on your device. Nothing you enter is sent to us or to any server of ours.

App lock

The optional app lock uses Face ID or Touch ID through the system’s own prompt. The app only learns whether the check passed. It never sees, stores or sends your biometric data.

The Pro purchase

The app offers one in-app purchase, Pro, which is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no personal details, payment information or contact details from it. Restoring the purchase on another device, Family Sharing, Ask to Buy approvals and refunds are all handled by Apple. The three tries each locked tool offers before buying are counted on your device.

Analytics and tracking

Dev Army Knife contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. We do not use cookies or any tracking technologies, and we do not build any profile of you or of how you use the tools. Nothing is sold, shared or used for tracking.

Contacting support

If you email us at support@pds-technology.ltd, we will receive your email address and whatever you include, and we use that solely to respond to you. We do not use it for marketing or share it with third parties.

Legal basis and your rights

Because the app does not collect personal data, there is normally no personal data for us to hold. Where we do process limited information, for example support correspondence you send us, we do so on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry, in line with UK data protection law.

Under UK data protection law you have rights over any personal data we hold about you, including the right to access, correct, or erase it. To exercise these rights, or if you have any concerns, contact us at support@pds-technology.ltd or by writing to PDS Technology Ltd, 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
